Art Therapy for High School Teens

A weekly art therapy group for teens ages 13 to 19.

Art Therapy for High School Teens

High school teens are under the pressure of many challenges; academic difficulties, bullying, peer pressure, time management, depression, addictions, conflict in friendships and newly explored romantic relationships to name a few. This phase of life is also tested by your relationship with your parents or caregivers and figuring out how to become your own person. The weight of navigating all of this can bring up anxiety and stress for a teenager.

This art therapy process group is created to help teens explore their identities and their feelings through art and creativity. Using art therapy can help teens learn coping strategies and find ways of resolving conflict that will give them foundational tools during this precious time in their lives. We will focus each week on skill building and creating a place where teens can support and give empathy to each other. Your teen will learn new communication tools, as well as strategies to reduce anxiety.

This is an ongoing teen Art Therapy process group. These groups are continually forming, renewing on a monthly basis. This means that these groups will continue with the same group members, creating a supportive & safe environment.

Open to teens ages 13 to 19.

Payment for the month will be collected / charged at the beginning of every month.
